Situated in the very heart of Hardy Country on the edge of the idyllic Yellowham Wood in 120 acres of farmland. The farm contains an abundance of flora and fauna which has been encouraged over the years. The accommodation is to the rear of the main house in a cloister type setting where peace and tranquillity are guaranteed. Centrally heated rooms with TV tea coffee making facilities. All rooms are en suite and on the ground floor. We have a hard tennis court with spectacular views over the countryside and a croquet lawn for the less energetic. 1.5 miles East of Dorchester

AA 5 Diamond thatched country cottage hotel in the heart of Thomas Hardy country approximately halfway between his birthplace and Max Gate where Hardy died. The restaurant and lounge have exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces while the bedrooms have modern facilities including colour televisions and DVD players direct dial telephones and en suite bathrooms with both bath and shower. The hotel's restaurant serves excellent food and reasonably priced wines in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.Yalbury Cottage is close to the World Hertiage Coastal walk and is surrounded by beautiful countyside. It is the ideal base for many attractions and places of interest. From 1 June to 30 September room only stays on Saturdays must be for a minimum of two nights or are subject to a Saturday supplement of 25 per person.
