BEECH HILL HOTEL

Set on the East shore of Lake Windermere overlooking the lake. Many rooms have garden access which trail down our gardens to the hotel jetties. Cambridge House

Cambridge House is a very high standard small friendly family owned guest house built in the traditional Lakeland style. Children must be 5 years and over.We take great pride in our warm friendly atmosphere and extra tasty home cooked breakfast which give our guests that 'home from home' feel. We have a large breakfast menu including of course a traditional english breakfast vegetarians catered for. Each room is comfortably and charmingly decorated all rooms have recently been refurbished and offer the essential comforts of home such as ensuite facilities colour television most rooms have video player and use of complimentary video library all rooms will have this facility by 2006 CD players use of complimentary CDs radio alarms hairdryer hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries. All prices inlcude en suite facilities and a hearty full English breakfast. We're just a minutes walk from all restaurants and shops in Windermere and only five minutes walk from the railway coach station. Also Lake Windermere is only a pleasant 15 minute stroll away. We have maps and books on many of the walks in the lake district which our guests are free to use at their leisure.Also guests staying two nights or more can enjoy free use of the nearby Leisure Facilities of Parklands Country Club. The Samling

A few hundred feet above one of the most beautiful lake in Britain beckons a small gem of a hotel. It's called The Samling. Set in it's won sixty seven acre estate it's like no other place you've ever stayed. This is a hotel in the country and emphatically not a country house hotel so there's none of that snooty nostalgic stuff. Instead you'll discover deep comfort the fruits of a thoughtful kitchen and service so good you'll hardly notice it. Breakfast at The Samling is generally agreed is preferable in bed and a many splendoured thing it is. There is no other hotel like it.
