We are in the heart of the action but are close to Ambleside Grasmere and Lakeside the perfect location to explore the South Lakes the most beautiful corner of England. We have off street parking although there is plenty of free parking on Park Road itself.

Ivy Bank is a pretty Victorian house built in the 1890's from local slate and retains many of its original features. Within thirty minutes walk from Ivy Bank there are several excellent viewpoints the lakeshore and tumbling waterfalls. We are situated on a quiet road away from main thoroughfares within a few minutes walk of the all the village facilities. All our bedrooms are en suite and are provided with a colour TV radio alarm clock hairdryer a selection of toiletries and hospitality tray. In addition 2 of our larger rooms have a sofa and DVD player. We have off road parking and safe storage for bikes. Guests staying at Ivy Bank can use our membership of a local leisure club. This includes free use of most of the facilities such as swimming pool sauna steam room spa bath gym badminton and snooker. We provide an informal and relaxing atmosphere comfortably furnished and attractively decorated rooms and an excellent choice for breakfast.

Laurel Cottage

Beautiful Victorian guesthouse situated in a quiet part of Windermere Village overlooking Queens Park an ideal location to explore the Lake District. Personally run by the owners Gwen and John who offer a warm and friendly welcome. The rooms are spacious and are all en suite individually decorated and furnished to a high standard. A three minute walk to the amentities of Windermere Village where there is a good selection of restaurants bars cafes and shops. Approximately a ten minute walk from the rail and bus station. Laurel Cottage is totally non smoking. Sorry we do not accept children under the age of five. Very sorry no pets.
