Description
LICKBARROW LODGE is an Arts and Crafts country house on the edge of our own 5 acre natural woodland on a quiet county road just 1 mile from Windermere and Bowness villages. We are not an hotel nor a guest house Lickbarrow Lodge is our own home in which we offer the choice of Bed Breakfast or Self Catering accommodation in either our unique self contained studio apartment or the charming guest room with oak floors and sheepskin rugs in keeping with the Arts and Crafts ethos. Both rooms have TV radio tea coffee making facilities and modern en suite shower rooms with invigorating multi jet showers. See the Langdale Pikes from our garden wander through secluded glades in our woodland or take footpaths to local viewpoints for stunning Lakeland sunsets. Lickbarrow Lodge is the perfect venue for your Lake District break. Guests are very welcome to arrive any time after 1600. We are a non smoking household.

FROM SOUTH M6 J36 and A591 northward to Windermere 20 mins . FROM NORTH M6 J40 and A66 westward for 1 mile then A592 to Windermere 50 mins . Drive through WINDERMERE village and after the pedestrian crossing take the first left into Broad Street. At the end turn right then immediately left into Park Road. Pass Heathwaite Post Office and Stores our nearest shop and continue to the top of the hill. Turn left into Lickbarrow Road drive up the hill and after 400 metres pass Gated single track road on left. Continue for a further 200 metres and turn into the second gateway on the left. Lickbarrow Lodge is the white painted house with balconies and large chimneys. N.B. The house is on the open upper section of Lickbarrow Road not the narrow lower section. We recommend that you print these instructions as most GPS and internet routes will lead you astray
