Comfortable 3 star B B within walking distance of the new Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Situated on the A7 one of the main routes into Edinburgh city centre. Major bus routes stop at door. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities including mains supplied power shower and satellite TV showing free Sky sports and movie channels. Wifi Internet provided. As an extra service to our guests we have introduced Covent Garden soups freshly prepared pannini ready meals Haagen Daz ice cream and espresso cappuccino type fresh coffee. These are available on request for a modest charge at anytime. We also provide our guests with front door keys allowing them to come and go as they please with no curfew limitations. Specific dietary requirements such as gluten free or diabetic meals can be provided with prior notice and we offer a milk warming and food preparation facility to families travelling with young infants. Any other special requests will be met if at all possible. Free ample private off road parking. We are 8 minutes bus journey from the city centre with all its attractions theatres comedy and live music venues and many excellent restaurants. We make our guests comfort and relaxation our highest priority. We hope you enjoy your time in Edinburgh and do our best to see that you do. Unfortunately we have no control over the weather yet but we are working on it Edinburgh has superb architecture medieval streets pleasant gardens great museums wide open spaces and Georgian terraces as you walk the streets there is a great sense of history. Dominating the skyline is Edinburgh Castle sitting on its crag above the city. The Royal Mile runs east from the castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Arthur's Seat the core of an extinct volcano rises 251m above sea level. From the top there are superb views of the Firth of Forth. The easiest walk up to the summit is from the car park beside Dunsapie Loch.Since the late 1940s Edinburgh has played host to the International Festival and the Festival fringe. This has grown over the years and now includes the Military Tattoo the Film Festival the Book Festival the Jazz and Blues festival and the Mela. Combined these events are known as the Festival covering a huge range of performance styles and venues and are probably the largest and most prestigious arts festivals in the world. We are situated on the A7 one of the main routes into Edinburgh City Centre from the motorway A720.We are a 5 minute taxi ride from Edinburgh Waverley Station and the city centre.The area the guest house is in is called Little France and it is exceptionally well served by the Lothian bus network in the area numbers 33 86 and 49 stop right outside the door and travel to and from Princes Street at the heart of Edinburgh city centre in under 10 minutes. The bus service is frequent and continues into the night allowing cheap and reliable access to the city centre directly from the guest house.
